Members of the Canadian military will be traveling to the United Kingdom to teach Ukrainian soldiers the best methods of defense against invading Russian forces.
Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand says up to 225 Canadians will be part of the training mission, which is expected to last four months. The Canadians will provide their expertise along with counterparts from the UK, Netherlands and New Zealand.
A previous mission, known as Operation Unifier, helped train more than 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers before all Canadian troops were withdrawn ahead of Russia’s attack.
