Members of the royal family are gathering at the Queen’s estate in Scotland, on news that Her Majesty is under medical supervision and doctors are concerned for her health.
Prince Charles, heir to the throne, and his wife, Camilla, are now with the Queen after travelling to Balmoral Castle, the Queen’s summer vacation home, to be with her.
Prince William, Charles’ elder son, is also among those there, as is Prince Andrew.
According to a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, will also travel to Scotland to be with Queen Elizabeth.
Concerns over the health of the 96-year-old monarch escalated when she pulled out of a virtual privy council meeting Wednesday after doctors ordered her to rest.
A statement has been released by Britain’s new prime minister, Liz Truss, which reads, “The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.”
She goes on to say, “my thoughts – and the thoughts of people across the United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”
