A heads up from Environment Canada about a strong, low pressure system that’s expected to affect southern Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area, in a couple days.
The city of Toronto as well as Halton and Peel regions can expect possibly near 10-cms between late Thursday morning and Friday morning, driven by southeasterly wind gusts up to 70-km/h; especially near Lake Ontario.
Parts of York and Durham regions, including Pickering and Oshawa, can expect upwards of 15-cms between early Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon.
The weather agency suggests postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
