A new poll suggests a U-S push for a ban of TikTok could be influencing opinions on this side of the border.
The Leger survey found just over half of Canadians are in favour of banning the social media app, with those 55 and older more likely to support the move.
TikTok’s Chinese ownership has raised concerns in Canada, the U-S and other countries. The federal government recently revealed that Canada is conducting an ongoing national security review of the app.
Nearly three-quarters of Canadians said they are aware of those reports and were concerned about security and privacy.
However, 56 percent admit it hasn’t changed how they use TikTok
