Legendary Broadway producer, manager and agent Samuel ‘Biff’ Liff has died at the age of 96.
Liff spent over seven decades in the theatre industry, working consistently, as an agent for William Morris and a producer for David Merrick. Among the hits he managed was My Fair Lady which starred Rex Harrison and launched the career of Dame Julie Andrews in 1956.
As a producer, his credits include the original Broadway production of Hello Dolly, Oliver and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. He also served as a prominent member of the Tony Awards nominating committee.
