For Zoomers whose travels are about to take them to the sunny south, Jamaica is being drenched with steady rain as tropical storm Sandy approaches.
Forecasters expect Sandy to strengthen into a Category One hurricane by the time it reaches the Caribbean island today.
Jamaicans are stocking up on supplies and reinforcing roofs.
Airports in Kingston and Montego Bay are closed.
Police ordered 48-hour curfews in major areas to keep people off the streets and deter looting
